How to Create an Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN)

How to Create an Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN)

The purpose behind an Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN) is to inform Bezos and the warehouse team that you are sending stock. It is very important to follow the steps below carefully to ensure your stock is booked in correctly and on time. Failure to provide all the necessary information could cause delays in booking in the stock, picking errors, and stock discrepancies.

Quick Guide:
To create an Advance Shipment Notification, follow the steps below:
1. Login to Seller Portal to Manually Create an ASN
2. Add Products Manually or
3. Add Products via CSV Upload
4. Provide Packaging Configuration
5. Book a Delivery Slot

Instructions:

1. Manually Create an Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN):

1. Go to Goods In > Create ASN+

2. Select Warehouse
3. Input the Estimated Delivery Date
4. Select Delivery Type
5. Input Delivery Quantity
6. Input Country of Origin
7. Add Carrier and Tracking Number (if available)
8. Click Confirm

Any cartons/pallets delivered in black or non-recyclable plastic wrap will be charged a £12 fee per carton/pallet and may be refused delivery in the future. The reason for this being that non-clear shrink wrap can't be recycled and goes to landfill damaging the planet.

2. Adding Products Manually:

9. Find the desired product and click ADD+
10. Add quantity
11. Click Confirm

3. Adding Products via CSV:

12. Click "Import ASN Data"
13. Download the ASN Template & Fill it
14. Choose CSV file and Upload
15. Click Confirm

4. Packaging Configuration:

15. Specify the number of single-SKU cartons and mixed-SKU Cartons
16. Add any relevant details in the Comments field and click "Create ASN"
17. Click Create ASN
For Mixed SKU Cartons, please note that there will be an additional fee. This is because we will need to sort the stock, which falls under our Premium Goods In service and is charged on an hourly basis.

We are aware that often you will not have the tracking information when creating the ASN, but we can follow the above template when creating the ASN and then re-update it with the tracking information once shipped.

5. Requesting a Delivery Slot:

The system will prompt you to book a delivery slot If your shipment is greater than 10 cartons or if you are sending in pallets/containers. Please note you are required to book a delivery slot at least 48 hours in advance.
18. Once the prompt to request a delivery slot appears > Click "Yes" > Select an estimated delivery date > "Confirm" to request a delivery slot.

19. Once done, the ASN "Delivery Slot Status" will update to "Requested"

20. If you would like to book a delivery slot later on, click the relevant option and then "Confirm". The ASN "Delivery Slot Status" will update to "Required"

21. To request a delivery slot click "View ASN details"

22. Click "Request Delivery Slot"

23. Once the prompt to request a delivery slot appears > Click "Yes" > Select an estimated delivery date > "Confirm" to request a delivery slot.
Once the booking has been confirmed by the inbound team, you will receive a confirmation email from our support team.
